The Ready, Sing, Grow! series of children's songs was created with early childhood development in mind. Songs with slower tempos in a sing-able range help children to engage by promoting a calm alert state. Studies have shown that early literacy skills start with play, singing, and being read to. The Ready, Sing, Grow! series intentionally weaves in important developmental concepts such as body awareness, movement, emotions, number sense, and fun!
These free children's songs were made possible through a state library grant. We would like to extend a special thanks to the El Dorado County Librarians who dreamed big when writing a wonderful grant to support early literacy! We value all the programs they bring to our community and hope this CD helps many children with the early developmental skills needed to succeed.
